Jail Poem by Regena Henderson

Jail

Rating: 3.5

I sit here,
in this closed up room,
listenin' to
the sound of doom.
Loud doors closing,
all around.
Me, myself, walking circles
around and around.
Days..I wonder
if Ill ever be home.
Nights.. Im lonely,
as I stare at the phone.
wishin u were on the other end,
assuring me, ur still my best friend.
I may never be the same,
for inside these walls..
lives-real-true-pain.
I hope to never,
come here again.
