Hsiao-Dai My Black Cat Poem by Perdita Young (Hanna Wang)

Hsiao-Dai My Black Cat

About my cat Hsiao-Dai,
There's so much to say-
Oh clever and charming she is,
A young witch!

She swoops and switches,
Paws fold in nosy play,
She sprightly jumps and rolls,
Like a flying fox.

Paper balls, peanuts, shadows-
Her interest,
A trouble maker
She looks innocent.

Each nook of the rooms might become her new nest,
She is cool and dainty, a black pearl possessed.
