Hugs And Tears Poem by David Harris

Hugs And Tears

You sit in a public place
watching faces as they pass
and then you see one
you haven’t seen in years
and moments later
it is all hugs and tears
as the years fade away
to the days when you were young.
You sit and reminisce
times of long ago,
but your time together
is compressed to the year.
You stand up to say goodbye again
among the hugs and tears.
