Human Desires Poem by Muthukumaran P

Human Desires

Man lives because of desire. It is because of desire that man perishes. He who is generous is worried that he is not hungry. Worried that the poor who do not have the means are why hungry. The desire to sit down for the standing one
The desire to fly for the seated
Desire to seed become a tree.
Man desires to suppress desire
At the same time he achieves desire. Loving desires give the mind
Excessive dangerous desires that destroy you and your life.
Desire to tree becomes a seed.
Desire for a hundred rupees when there is ten rupees
Desire for a thousand rupees when there is a hundred rupees
Thus the desires of man continue to grow and there is no end to the endless desires
