Humanism - Poem by Kelly Kurt

I may never reach even one person
That is not a reason not to try
It takes more than you know
I care about truth, about knowledge
About trying to know
So I am the one who is deluded
My humanity is stripped
I cannot be moral, trusted…saved
Just because I truly care
Aids must, and can be eliminated
Condoms are not evil
Stem cells can heal
Women are equal
Gays are equal
All are equal
Except in rationality

    Women are equal
    Gays are equal
    All are equal
    Except in rationality
Not only one so many diseases we can get rid of.

The Catholic church is responsible for more suffering in this world than good.

    1 person liked.
    0 person did not like.

At it again huh Kelly. You know I am with you in our devilish ways. I have had no adverse reactions to my being atheistic so things are probably improving in regard to tolerance. Maybe I keep a low profile. Say the word and I will tell it like I think it is. (Report) Reply

We both know that the chances of an atheist becoming president are much smaller than a Muslim, female, transgender neo-Nazi. I appreciate your support, Wes. This is still a democracy but it could very well turn into something more resembling a theocracy without secular outspokenness.

    All are equal
Except in rationality.=Τhis moto is going to live in the eternity to follow mankind's history lived. You see, dear Kelly,2.500 years did not suffice to have rationality our basis of thinking and acting.

I would like to think that before another 2500 years passes, the world will be a place so radically different in reason, that history classes will call all time through the 21st century as the dark ages

This said it all, yet believing in humanity should be on priority list inspire of the disappointments. Thought provoking poem.10

Morality is not the sole purview of religion

    It is unfair, isn't it?
    That those who truly care
    Are put aside, not understood,
    And said to be unfit.

This extraordinary poem is an act of truth and rationality said in the most effective, concise and natural way, I have ever read. A true gem and favorite.

As soon as it comes to light that I do not believe in a god, all my good will and acts are assigned as the work of the devil
