HAPPY WORLD BICYCLE DAY
JUNE 3RD 2020

ranked among the best,
to showcase man's genius,
it has stood time's test;
to give a ride, without fuss,
even if, man's size is plus!

wonder its balance,
heavy load on two thin wheels,
rider's nonchalance,
with songs on lips and with peals,
of laughter? Answer by science is sealed!

long back, rich had cars;
rest, mostly had bicycles;
some liked to walk far,
bicycles, they couldn't tackle,
as they felt, weak in muscles

bicycles in sports,
is widespread, like Tour de France,
for those with strong hearts;
watch it live, if there is, a chance
or on TV, if short of finance.

for youngsters, workhorse;
bicycle, handy for errands;
day-to-day, costs nil, on purse;
mostly in background, but grand,
it deserves from us, a big hand!
