Hunger Poem by Snéha Soni

Hunger

Rating: 4.0

This land divided as belongings,
No amity, no harmony
Loosing the peace of mind
And peace of security
Terrors like black holes
Fear of getting caught
In their darkness
And in the trap of hatred
Death, destruction and fire
Like the rotten fruits of a tree
A turmoil of explosions
Resulting into mutilation
And rivers of blood flowing in streets

I dream of a World with endless harmony
Love, friendship and happiness
Spreaded in their true sense
Faces overflowing with smiles
No more poverty, no more loneliness
No grief, no blood sheds and no fears
A world full of uninterrupted growth
Body, mind and soul filled with endless joy
Concordance, Reconciliations and Achievements

My eyes open and from the window
I see a kid with body half covered
begging for fulfilling his hunger
