Hunger dweep Sarkar Poem by Dweep Sarkar

Hunger dweep Sarkar

The year my hunger increased
That year I bought three cows
When the cow dug its nose into the pot
And dug for a long time to bring up the map of survival
I look over look and satisfied my hunger

Then, when it ruminating, and
floating a world of contentment in its saliva,
I gaze, thinking of happiness.

This is how, since that year,
I began to understand hunger.

In a happy household, there is always a little playful quarrelling—
I have none of that.
In a happy household, there is the art of ruminating—
I have none of that either.

The day, hunger disappears from the earth, people's stomachs will remain full for nothing.
That day, I too will feel no hunger.

I am waiting, gazing toward that day.
