Hunt For Answers Poem by Ima Ryma

Red wolves only run in the wild
In North Carolina country.
Some humans are getting all riled,
Cuz on their private lands wolves be,
Competing with humans for prey.
Protected, wolves cannot be shot.
Wolves know that and so they don't stay
In the refuges that they've got.
There needs to be a compromise.
Hunting red wolves should be allowed,
Where non refuge area lies,
And wolves annoy the human crowd.

Red wolves are smart and soon will know
Some lands will mean shot at - don't go.
