Hurting Poem by jacqlyn sayre

Hurting

Thanks for lying.
But still every day im trying.
To look past you.
Because not a thing you do.

Reflects the women you used to be.
Back when it was you and me.
But [fuxk] the past
I guess the real you is what your trying to mask.

You've sold out.
Now your leavin me here to pout.
I tried to make you happy
I guess you were always so canny

I was there through through thick and thin
This is how i get repayed? ?
Wow, wat a kick to theshin.
But still I wouldnt trade

A single memory we had.
Because even tho it makes me sad
I knew the women you use to be
Back when you felt free.

Jacqlyn, This is good writing but you do not need to announce who you are. All of us writers are allowed to be anything and anybody, what we must do is evoke interest in what we write not what we are. Who cares if you are a lesbian or a car salesman, what the reader will care most about is the journey endured in your story telling. Keep writing I am encouraged by your ability. Your Lesbianism is your right kid but write about things in your heart from a poiint of view that all lovers come from irrespective of sexual preference.
