Hurting Heart

Know it's hard
to have a hurting heart
To miss someone
of whom you were a part
The days drag on
ache stays there
Can't clear the mind
wouldn't dare
Afraid to let go
don't want to forget
The good and the love
that was heaven-sent
So the heart keeps hurting
as it beats away
Maybe tomorrow
will be a better day
