Hyenas/Celestial Fireworks Poem by Bijay Kant Dubey

Hyenas/Celestial Fireworks

Hyenas

Hyenas,
How do they come in packs,
Showing teeth,
Dragging,
Chuckling and laughing,
Strangely looking,
But lurking around?

Just like the scavenging animals,
But so ferocious and stubborn,
So lean and thin
And frustrated and desperate
In their targets.

Black-mouthed
Just like the dogs,
But are not,
The hyenas spotted
And so wild.

Celestial Fireworks

The night so lonely and dark
But with the stars
Twinkling
Just like clutching a bouquet of fire sticks
Someone passing through
To do the fireworks,
Sparklers sparkling,
Crackers cracking.
