I Am



You shall not detect me
although I will be there.
You shall live your life
and not know where
I am.

You shall not perceive me
for I shall hide
amongst the music that you love.
But if you look inside it
there I am.

You shall not forget me
even though you try.
Days and nights will come and go
and you will hear me cry,
'Here I am.'
