I Am - Poem by Juan Olivarez

Why am I here, I said,
To no one I could see.
To a voice inside my head,
That always spoke to me.

What is my purpose here,
What am I to do?
What is it that I have to fear,
And when will I see you?

Why should I believe in you,
Is life just one big scam?
And the voice said, 'here's a clue, '
'You are talking to, I am.'
