I Am



I am who I am
Call me a sir or a ma'am,
You think that I give a damn
I am not who you think I am.

I am not either her or him
I am not a pseudonym,
And I am not just a whim
I am not them.

I am a he or a she
If you look closely and see,
I am not who you want me to be
I am me.
