I lie: Afore the beginnin' of the day.
I lie throughout the day.
I lie throughout the night.
I lie even while dreaming.
So I am a liar, a great liar.

I lie not as other people do.
I just lie to my innocent HEART,
I just lie to my innocent EYES,
I just lie to my innocent HANDS,
I just lie to my innocent LIPS
I lie to all my SENSES:
and the one who needs 'er,
Who ask'd 'er;
So I am liar, a great liar.

Thousands of time I plea.
But! Befo' it reached to 'er heart,
She flee;
Without telling any things;
Perhaps' I lack the things,
What she wants,
What she needs: (.
So She leave me,
She leaves you and She leaves us';
I ain't 'nuff mighty to tell-
These to my heart, so I lie,
I am a liar, a great liar;

After she has gone outta my line,
I ain't feeling fine.
Even In the life of mine,
There is chang'd in clime.
When heart asks me 'bout her
Rather tellin' TRUTH I LIE
Cuz I have no words to reply,
So I am a liar, a great liar;
