I Am A Poet
I am a poet, and know I may
Never be recognized
By world renowned publishers,
But have oft realized
That if my little efforts
Of capturing love in verse
Make someone, maybe you,
Feel a little bit worse
About horrible happenings,
Or better, about things good
Then my little efforts have
Done what I dreamt they should.
Simple and to the point, plus I agree with your viewpoint! ! ! Poetry is meant to move the mind and soul of a reader! ! ! !
