I Am Awake Poem by Dr Dolston L Morian

I Am Awake

From my spongy bed I arose
After a great night's repose
To see a brand new daylight
With all the buzz and sight
I am awake!

Such breeze and peace all around
There's no troubling and no sound
The peaceful night
Gives way to the beauty of daylight
I am awake!

Sweet songs I now must hear
From strange yellow bird
And also black tail
Their melody, tis so sweet in the air
I am awake!

Then there is joyful little Michael
Saying his good morning and he's gone
He's so happy to go at the car sound
Off to school with his friends
I am awake!

I'm happy to see it all, my friend
For all these little things He send
I declare by the good Heavens above
I'mglade I am awake!
