I AM LOST IN LONGING/ FOR WORLDS VASTER THAN I HAVE KNOWN

I am lost in longing
For worlds vaster than I have known
Worlds of others
Greater than mine
Hints and memories and signs
Of other times and lives
Remind me of how much I have missed in life
There has been so much life
And I have experienced such a small part of it
Worlds have been born and died
And I have never known them
When I die
Most of what was and is and will be
Will not even know I have not known it.
