I Am Near You Poem by Amanda May Moore

I Am Near You

Rating: 5.0

I walk with You.
You've taught me to love
The only thing that is true
That You continue to talk of
Is who I am, Lord
I've been bereft
I've been ignored
I've been left
I've been restored
Love has taught me
Not who I ought to be
But love has shown me
Exactly where I've been
Lost to begin
Found within
All of this peace
My release.
Lord, You have shown
How to not be alone.
Never have I not felt Your
Presence that has created this war
That forever will assure
Through You and with You I'll endure
Every test, being truly blessed.
In my heart, that You have given me
Empty art, created molded perfectly
You've taught me to pour
Everything within and more.
You've taught me love
You've taught to be of this patient of
You've taught me of Your Son
That from death He did not run
You've taught me of His gift
Because Your Son you did lift
You've created Blessing, Honor, Glory
In the Risen Christ
Whose sacrifice made it so that I might have life.
A death and a birth in one
Love has been won in Your Son.
I've been put on the same road of vocation
To not live a life of contradiction.
Lord, in all of your creation
I have built my foundation
In You, through You, and with You.
There is nothing I would not do.
I am listening to the voice
In my heart, You've given me choice.
I've chosen to follow this voice
And it has lead me to rejoice
For all of the blessings of
What You give in love.
This battle has been long
But You are strong
To You I solely belong
Letting nothing separate me from our song.
This seed that grows
Is the only thing that forever shows
That only time can know
So one gives it plenty of attention
And this may not lead to great comprehension
But in due time, with patience
One learns their vocation for their life.
I've met my heart's desire
The deep need to meet and acquire
The gladness that meets the world's deepest needs.
Needs.
We all have needs. These needs are the seeds
To the love in our relations with all.
All that have helped me from my fall.
All that have listened to this call.
Lord, You've called me
Across the sea
Over mountains
To the lowest lows
To the highest highs
Through the thorns
Through the judgement of others
Through and through and through it all.
I have followed Your call.
I have opened the door,
Throwing me to the floor.
I am near You,
And I hear You.
