I Am Not An Emo (Song) Poem by Colette Grosvenor

I Am Not An Emo (Song)

Rating: 5.0

I'm not an emo, I'm just always sad,
but at least im happy this way.
It's everyone around me who has the problem,
Not me, I'm happy,
The way I am.

Who has the right,
To tell me what I am?
Who should have that power,
Apart from me?

How can you be something,
That you don't think you are?
Is it possible?
I do not think so.

I'm not an emo, I'm just always sad,
but at least im happy this way.
It's everyone around me who has the problem,
Not me, I'm happy,
The way I am.

Times are hard enough,
Without people accusing you,
Of being something you're not.
Why can't they just keep to their own lives?

At least I am content with my life,
Even though they call me 'Emo'
I'm not an emo, I am me!

I'm not an emo, I'm just always sad,
but at least im happy this way.
It's everyone around me who has the problem,
Not me, I'm happy,
The way I am.
