I am not what you thought, by what I act
and well I neither know who I'm nor where
my steps guide me? How much I wish I pare
this silky curtain to write and enact
my own drama of life with every fact
and lie, that shaped though joys of triumph, despair
of loss and fear that loomed like barbed steel snare
and well portray those sentiments intact.
But who am I; this form I brag as me?
My talk has twisted lines my charming grace
has sugary lies and mind a buzzing flea!
But I'm a seasonal man, a weathered lea!
For me Autumn is Spring, that peels my face
off masks and prunes me like a naked tree!
