I Am Old Now/And A Thing Taken For Granted Once

I AM OLD NOW/ AND A THING TAKEN FOR GRANTED ONCE

I am old now
And a thing taken for granted once
Or not thought about at all
Is now so important-

I need the light of the morning
And I need the light of the day
Light is hope
And without it
The day is dark as night
Dim as Despair.
