I Am One Of Those Blokes Poem by Francis Duggan

I am one of those blokes a scribbler of rhyme
An ageing chap feeling the passage of time
I cannot stop penning i pen every day
And though some of me do not have kind things to say
Their opinions are their's and with me that's okay
For suppose for being born there is some price to pay
I too have to struggle in that I'm not rare
In this pitiless World the big World out there
And if by chance there's a hereafter of hell
I want to be with those who pen doggerel
Leave me with a pen and paper on which to write
And i won't be complaining since i will be all right
And what matter if my best is not good enough
I am only happy when penning more stuff.
