I Am Quite Lucky Poem by Francis Duggan

I Am Quite Lucky

Rating: 5.0

I am quite lucky in many a way
In the beautiful things i do see every day
The beauty of Nature everywhere around me
It is true that the best things in life they are free
In March in Autumn bone dry every drain
And though the brown and dry countryside is in need of some rain
With such pleasant weather it seems hard to complain
But the reason some farmers are unhappy it's own self does explain
Since they are obliged to feed their hungry livestock hay
In drought conditions farmers at a financial loss every day
With families to care for and bills for to pay
The weather in their lives a huge part does play
Still the best things in life i believe to be free
The beauty of Nature it is all around me.
