I Am So Lonely Now Poem by Shalom Freedman

I Am So Lonely Now

Rating: 5.0

I am so lonely now

It is so quiet here
and no one knows me
and I know no one

I wait for the time
To go and get a grandson
Once I meet him
I will forget about the loneliness

But now in the late afternoon
It is if I were the only person in the world
And will never have anyone
To speak with ever again.

Lovely piece of poetry coming from deep within. In a way each one of us is alone here as you say- It is if I were the only person in the world
