I Am Your Dreams Poem by Pasquale DiMeola

I Am Your Dreams

We need not be formally introduced
Our physical and mental states are well acquainted
I am here whenever you consult me
We share unpredictable stages of existence
Night or day the ground work is laid out
You can consciously summon my services at will
Such as while strolling in the park dreaming of love
Or imagining yourself earl of an estate
However I have complete control when you slumber
Filling your thoughts with messages, predictions and warnings
Many a nights I opened unknown passages
Teasing your younger self with nocturnal emissions
Flipping your senses from pleasant to nightmarish
Having you smile through out the night
Or wake up screaming in the morning
You are the blue print of a meandering impulse
My pliable subject!
