I Be Not Envious; And The Bane Of Envy Poem by Emmanuel George Cefai

I Be Not Envious; And The Bane Of Envy

And pregnant carry child
Envy's serpent surrounded me
At which Envy herself so reprimanded me
That I pardon requested and I had.
