I Believe Poem by Taher Shemaly

I Believe

I lived life,
highest and low,
and everything in between.
I lived life,
bitter and sweet,
and seen what to be seen.

And I believe,
in the sun and moon,
among the stars to guide me.
And I believe,
in day and night,
when planets look down at me.

Then there goes my life,
across the roads and the pathways.
By the changing airs and sceneries,
by the emotions of my days.
And when it goes sober there,
numb of the tiresome heed.
Remember, then, when I left that,
heart of mine for my creed.

And I believe,
in sunrise after the set.
And I believe,
I love you, done, so said.

Love you...
