I Beseech You All Poem by Moto Wamwanga

I Beseech You All

In strong and eternal memory
That saddens us, of slavery
I sit down and write this speech
Neither to teach lessons nor to preach
However, believe me, to beseech

You all Black, Yellow and White
People anti-slavery trading.
I implore you all through what I write
To think one more time by reading
My suggestions. It will be right

To choose, among days of the year, one date,
A special day to celebrate
Bravely the wicked bleak,
Slavery. On such a day, we'd incarnate
What exactly happened to our weak

And poor brothers, sisters, fathers, mothers
And many more. Because, slavery,
Slavery is a wicked calvary
That a normal human being, a very
True man would not do to others.

Such a day would unite
Black people, orientate all of us toward
Love that this misery stained, our right,
Dignity that we lost. This is my word.
This is my dream, my insight

To have a global slavery day that future
Generation would get aware of this atrocity
Not to revenge but to get to know how creature
Of God had been perpetrated, how human nature
Can be heartless and how to promote unity.

A global slavery day would put shame
On nations that started this cruelty I firmly blame.
It would certainly force them
To publicly say sorry to us and we would get
Back our pride that they trampled on, do you forget?

Indeed a worthy idea and so well written! The left hand of God may be the answer too, the sword that cuts deep and through Only one type of language would make action divorce the stronger hand, that of force a brute cannot rehabilitate better of dead, judgement in wait The sword cuts the Cross imprisons and sells special place waiting no virgins just hell
