I Bow My Heart Poem by Gary James Smith

I Bow My Heart

Rating: 5.0

I Bow My Heart

I bow my heart to pay You homage
For worthy are you Lord
To walk Your path on earth obedient
Obedient to Your Father's Word
To become our Light in the darkness
Given that the blind might see
To remove the stain that sin has dealt us
Through Your blood on Calvary

You poured out love in Godly fashion
Forgiveness was Your's to give
And though death was to be deemed our sentence
You came that we might live
There's a deep, deep love in our soul
That can be felt there by the Spirit
And when we repent and are forgiven for our sin
Our desire is that others might hear it

Your life in me O Hallelujah!
Hallelujah for the Cross!
By God's perfect Lamb for Sacrifice
My redemption has been bought!
I cannot help but worship You
For when I was lost in sin
You came on a rescue mission
So that I might be born again!

Praises now shall never cease
From this saved sinner's tongue
For every day I'm reminded of
That the way of the Cross leads Home
And the full expression by Your life
By Your death and Resurrection
Praise God! ... Hallelujah! ... I'm alive in Christ!
Who wrought Salvation to perfection! ! !

Hallelujah what a Saviour!
