I Breaks Em Off (Lost Pages) Poem by Cherokee Akan Ewe

I Breaks Em Off (Lost Pages)

they get disrespected tah their faces constantly stranded enigmatic illest
either from dying ignorance
or the love of knowing nothing else to do with their lives
that's we keeps breaking em off

leaving em far away from us
as they ways get hectic
only interested in passports
tropical sunshine with drinks of coconut cacao juice blended smoothly ugh
fools can't do me
so they never could be my Ancestors
and never my Elders who teach at universities and colleges now
to the ones back at the tribal homefronts
we breaks em off
bye minding our own businesses without an evil stare
and how could you dare?
leave em dependently stuck on stupid bare
the exact fare to the farthest spot
not around me and mines concoct
Ewe we hot
we breaks em off....
