I Broke Down Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

I Broke Down

Rating: 5.0

I broke down virtually
The news was conveyed orally
It was first shocking revelation
My whole existence was in question

“Father is no more” the telegram read
From the very deep sentiment, I was dead
I broke down with tears and remained unstoppable
It was beginning of some trouble

Mother used to be on his bedside
Even though seized with poverty to hide
She was brave enough to stand
She will bravely offer solace till end

Even though I was in defense force
This was almost time for remorse
I could hardly control emotions
The time needed some solutions

The time taught me a good lesson
Mother was the only reason
She always remained at top of mind
I always longed for her to find

She will confide me everything
I could witness her sad tuning
She may sometimes break down while talking
I imagined about her plight when I had started walking
