I Can Not Be With You Poem by Marcquiese Burrell

I Can Not Be With You

I can not be with you, no
I Don't think I want to

I can not be with you cause it'll be true
you'll do me harm
I can not be with you, can't accept no wrongs
What a smile worn on your face, you know how to charm
but it still couldn't ever keep, couldn't keep me warm

I want to kiss your lips
but then I go against the script
I want to belong to you
as in here and now, but can't follow through

I just love when our eyes connect
In a way you'd never have suspect

I can not be with you, no
even though I want to
there is no time like now
but the mind won't allow
Submitting to needs of the heart
