I Cannot Take An Offence Poem by Liza Sud

I Cannot Take An Offence

At you I cannot take an offence,
Even if I don't win your contest.
Any time when I visit your page -
then again I begin to glow.

There are two colors native to heart:
the blue sky and the yellow sun.
I am always warmed by your site,
It is pouring the joy of life.

And the same should be our love to God,
Because He's always shining to us.
By sins He may be shielded from us.
But our meeting with Him makes us shine.

***

COMMENTS OF THE POEM

Is this poem adressed to the political leader you expressed confidence and support for in the past? I believe so. You summon him to the highest accounting of his worthiness to win the contest. He must prove himself to be what he promises to be - an enlightened leader, humble in his personal attitude, but proud of serving his nation and fellow citizens. That's what you admire him: altruism, strength of character, trustfulness. May it be so! !
