I Could Not Write A Poem Tonight



I COULD NOT WRITE A POEM TONIGHT

I could not write a poem tonight-
Something in myself
Held me far too tightly,
To give to something else.

But now that I am writing
And the words begin to flow,
I wonder if my Poetry
Is much worse than I know.
