I Could Write About Friendship... But Don'T Count On It

Rating: 5.0

I could write a poem about friendship
and it would be as sweet as cinamin
as warm as a fireplace

I could write a poem about the love of a friend
and my mind might drift to secret lands
and unveiled mysteries

I could write a poem about the comfort of friendship
But I might leave tear-stains on the page
My heart might shatter into a multitude of minute pieces

I would write something about the joy it brings to my heart
But my chest might hurt when i think about
the indigestable sylables and the comotion of laughter and excitement that steals my breath

I will write a poem about friendship
The poem will be sweet
tender
exstatic

I will write a peom about friendship
But don't count on it

When I write a poem about friendship
I'm afraid my words won't say enough

I am certainly not an authority on poemhunter... we all stand in the shadow of Mr Peerbocus :) - however, I think you wordr choice is excellent... your poem has rhythm and lovely imagery. Well done. Yuri*
