I Cry Poem by sarah hill

I Cry

How long,
I ask,
must I see the injustice and violence thrusted upon a people that's struggled since coming into this world?
How long must I hear of discrimination?
Did not God make them too?
Yes, I cry for a people,
dough I know,
a better and lasting relief is near.
I cry for all others that to no fault of their own,
must pay a heavy prize,
sometimes, death,
for the life lived or born into.
