I'd Love To Give You Colors Poem by Ella Rose

I'd Love To Give You Colors

Another quiet night,
So dark and yet so white,
I'd love to write you a song,
Just wouldn't seem quite right.

I lay and start to think,
So close and on the brink,
I'd love to see your smile,
So yellow with a splash of pink.

Cuz' yesterday's blue has disappeared,
And today's red is still revered,
I'd love to paint you in the sun,
If only the clouds had cleared.

But all the gray in the world,
Doesn't compare to your sword,
I'd love to cut you out,
Paste you on my old clip board.

So deep and so in love,
Too black to be a dove,
I'd love to see you fly,
Feel you free from up above.

If only you knew your white,
Oh what a beautiful sight,
I'd love to kiss you on the cheek,
Say sleep with angels, and good night.
