I Die A Little Each Day Poem by Leonard Lee

I Die A Little Each Day

Rating: 4.5

I die a little each day..
When I hear what the people say..
I try to fight for your honor..
Defending, every minute every hour..
They don't know you like I do..
Naysayers have no clue..
I am such a sucker for punishment..
I've become your source of amusement..
I die a little each day..
That's the price I have to pay..
Now I'm crushed by emotional debt..
As the place is chosen and the stage is set..
They take pleasure laughing at me..
I will never ever be free..
For you, I die a little each day...
That is all I have to say....

You are a good writer. I have to say that it is hard to let go of the past, but removing the shackles that bound you is necessary in order to move on and be a better you. All I have to say is dying a little each day is never really fun. I hope you can be more happy by each day.
