I Do Not Know Why I Love You Poem by Hebert Logerie

I Do Not Know Why I Love You

Please do not kill me now
I do not why I love you
Sometimes, I wonder how
I have come to love you
So much. I am confused
I am immensely amused
By many things that you do.

I am terribly sorry. I am trying
To make sense of how I feel
About you. I cannot stop loving
You the way you are. I am over the hill
I am sick in my head when you're away
When you're near, my heart beats
Differently. You'll be gone one day
That day, I'll find myself in the pits.

Of course, I know why I love you
I will not dare to enumerate
And I know that you'll hate
Knowing why I want to die for you
For your sweet love, for your smile
For your modesty, for your honeydew
For your charisma, for your style
And for everything and anything that you're not
And for all the reasons why we've tied the knot.
