I Don'T Know Much Poem by Granville Holt

I Don'T Know Much

I don't know much philosophy and stuff,
'Cept, the easiest way is hard enough.
As I look upon my Winter's bare trees
I try to picture Spring buds and green leaves,
Lush colors of sweet meadows wild flowers.
How as a boy I walked the wood for hours
Listening to honey bees buz their tune,
Awaiting night's glow of dream Lady Moon,
Rise up with first light of new day's dawn
As morning maiden put her magic on.
Now, though my youth has passed, and I am old,
Nature's beauty in my memories I hold.
I don't know much philosophy and stuff,
'Cept, the easiest way is hard enough.
