I Don'T Want To Lose The Butterflies Poem by Margaret Kollmer

I Don'T Want To Lose The Butterflies

Rating: 5.0

There's a shaky kind of feeling
Deep within my heart
You have me all a-flutter
As you have right from the start.
Touch my hand and feel the coolness
Yes I shudder and I'm shy and
Butterflies surround me
And like them, I want to fly.

As the snow caps winter mountains
And planets line the sky...
And shooting stars like butter
Seem to melt away and die.
Touch my heart and I am soaring
Oh who can tell me why
I've grown a pair of dazzling wings
Like a golden butterfly.
