I Dread Loneliness Poem by Hope Ajagun

I Dread Loneliness

Rating: 5.0

You speak to yourself without words
Otherwise you are mad
You sing aloud during chores
Otherwise you are sad
You soil your neatness somewhat
Otherwise you are a fag

All by yourself at all times
You eat alone
You sleep alone
You bath alone
You dress up alone
You walk alone
Like loneliness personified

Your thoughts roam
In frightening serenity
Fearfully questioning your sanity
In your damp room

Wonderful! Loneliness personified in a lonely damp room! Your poems are razor sharp. I am going to translate them into some foreign languages. I will not be surprised to see soon one of your poems as the poem of the day at this site. Keep writing and posting.

Fearfully questioning your sanity provokes thought. Life needs love. If life is not understood on basis of love or if love is lost this is so sad. An amazing poem is brilliantly penned.10
