I Dream Still Sometimes Poem by Shalom Freedman

I Dream Still Sometimes

I dream still sometimes
But do not believe in my dreams so much
A lifetime has almost passed
I am still here
But why?
The family the few who care
Perhaps this alone

In the warm winter sun now
In the French Hill District
Where I spent twenty years of my life
On the way to visit and old friend's widow
I write these small lines
