I Feel Shame When I Hear About The Nigerian Female Genital Mutilation Poem by Bijay Kant Dubey

I Feel Shame When I Hear About The Nigerian Female Genital Mutilation

I feel shame
When they talk about
The Nigerian female genital mutilation,
I feel shame
When I hear about
The plight and misery,
The tyranny of the Nigerian womenfolk.

Has there not anyone come up to protest against
Such a malpractice,
Inhuman torture and orthodoxy,
Has there not anyone come up to defend it?
