I Found Myself Poem by Daniel Mercado

I Found Myself

You ever heard the poem 'When your hero falls? '

Well what about when your hero dies?

See for 4 and a half years I couldn't do anything, I was lost, wondering 'Is this the best life has to offer? '

Is this where the buck stops, is this my punishment for living the life I had lived?

Or is this Gods raunchy sense of humor? To kick me when Im already down.

I didnt think it could get much worse until I turned, and looked, and saw, no one in my corner.

But like a great poet/man once said 'If you can make threw the night there's a brighter day'

And I do dare say that Today is Gold, Tomorrow is Platinum, and the Future is so Bright I couldnt even tell you what it holds.

But I do see one thing, A beautiful baby girl, Shes running at me, Arms open Screaming out in Joy 'DADDY, DADDY, DADDY.

Something so beautiful tha I must say 'Today is a good day.'

In Closing
'Long live the Rose that grew from Concrete when no one else cared.'
