I Got Away.. Poem by GRANT FRASER

I Got Away..

Rating: 5.0

The sea water
lapped over a flat rock
and so clear, that
a sheer sense of clarity
shook my senses!

The Sun scintillating
inside it too,
made it wholly effective,

Some things matter,
others more remote..

For beneath the surface
and down into much darker
depths, would you have to go?

(No)

And a for few seconds more,
the happiness thrilled me,

Escaping for only seconds
was all I knew,
and overjoyed by the solitary
space in which I stood,

There is half a tear
in each eye, not enough maybe,

Call it an inadvertent escape,
a disappearance from within,

Humans make way too much
of themselves, their self
importance, and everything
they have to say,

And I too, unfortunately,
am, one of them..

So clearly sea water flapped on rock and the clever imagery is captured from the sound. Humans make way too much. human life is half tear and half joy. We should adjust in both conditions and feel the natural phenomenon. This poem is wonderful poem shared.
