I Greet You With The Hand Poem by Gert Strydom

I Greet You With The Hand

I greet you with the hand,
look directly into your eyes
and my lips want to burn upon yours,
where I long at how yesterday had been
and I think to hell with protocol,
notice people passing us
as continually you do fill my life
where I stand for moments very close to you.
