I Had No Answer Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

What was I doing to self?
The answer could be found in deep sea shelf
Was it eight in dealing with such delicate affair?
I knew I was in deep love but was it fair?

I had no answer
May be known to fewer
But the problem existed
There was lot more to be insisted

I will not touch the issue of love angle
It was almost triangle
Three lives were truly affected
Certainly everybody was to react with hostility

I was worried about parent
They were nice and were as if god sent
They had full trust and wanted me to be comfortable
My decision was going to add more trouble

I had problem of rearing child
That was expected from following blind path
I had committed known error in relation
Womb was reflecting it with indication

Even though I looked bold
The story was not received well as nicely told
Parent were sympathetic but heard it with unhappiness
They certainly wore worrisome face

It was not the case of rape victim
It was case of pure whim
The matter was understood
The idea of not telling about father was termed as an absurd
